What's the adoption process?

This is HOW IT WORKS:**You can choose up to 3 bunnies to see during your bunny adoption appointment.

Each bunny breed has a name, gender, age and their adoption fee.
(PLEASE BE READY TO GIVE THE 3 NAMES OF THE BUNNIES YOU'D LIKE TO SEE WHEN YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT) !!!!

*It is first come first serve, unless you secure a bunny with a deposit down.

*Our Recommendation* - if you see a particular bunny you want. We advise to secure that bunny because they do go fast.

How do I secure a bunny?

  • Call or text 619-517-0530 (Amber)
  • We can accept deposits starting at 6 weeks old.
  • You'll be given a Venmo link to secure your bunny.
  • The required deposit down is 50% towards the adoption fee, the remaining balance will be due on pickup day.
  • We can hold your secured bunny up to 7 days, once the deposit is accepted we will remove your rabbit from our adoption list while you purchase all your supplies you need for your bunny, and to arrange a pickup time.
  • If you need longer than a week. No problem! But, we will have to charge an extra expense of $5/day for the cost of their food.

What's your policy on my rabbits health guarentee?

We can guarentee that you're adopting a healthy bunny from our rabbitry.  But, it is the new owners responsiblity to continue to educate themselves on caring for their new bunny and to learn about preventative health care.

* You sign a contract that states that you are recommended within a week after adoption to establish an exotic veterinarian. To consult with a certified vet, and discuss preventive treatments for your bunny.

  1. Preventative Care: There is OTC medications for treating for the common illness in bunnies.
  2.  Vaccinations: If you choose to vaccinate your bunny, you'll need to consult that with your exotic vet, and the annual boosters. Vaccines prevent the RHV (Rabbit hemorrhagic virus)
  3. Spayed/neuter: your bunny can start as early as 4 months for preventing pregnancies.
  4. Cleaning cages: Regular cage cleaning with ammonia solution diluted or white vinegar works well.
  5. Grooming & nail trimming: regularly, to prevent mats in coats and prevent gut blockage.
  6. Nutrition: They are an exotic animal, and need proper nutrition. We strongly advise against ANY fruits & vegetables until bunny reaches 6-7 months old.
  7. Environment: Rabbits are a prey animal species, and can get scared by fast movements, loud noises, or even being over crowded by too many people.
  8. Transitional week period- It's recommended that within the first 7 days of your bunny adoption try to let it settle in by leaving it alone to aclimate to it's environment. **VERY IMPORTANT**
  9. *If your rabbit shows signs of any illness within the 7 days of adoption. We will work with you by sending you the proper medication you need to treat the rabbit. These are ALL common illness that rabbits can get during stressful environments!!!  NO PRESCRIPTIONS NEEDED! You can purchase online, or go to your local pet store they are OTC. I can also send you the link of medication you need. I'll even pay for it!!! ONLY WITHIN THE 7 DAYS OF ADOPTION!
